first_imgThe tournament will be staged at the Taurama Aquatic Centre (TAC) in Port Moresby, with Epari Souths of Pangia and Yasaro of Kutubu returning to defend their titles.Over 40 teams have shown interest however, due to limited time and availability of facilities, only 32 teams will be taking part.The tournament aims to expose basketball talents from the rural areas at the national level while utilising international standard basketball facilities such as the TAC.NSBL plans to revive basketball, which is still alive in the rural areas in PNG.Organisers confirmed that the registration fee is K1000 for each club (K500 male and K500 female).All teams must fill out an expression of interest (EoI) form which can be collected by emailing nationalsouthsbasketball@gmail.com.The tournament will be officially launched in March 24 at the Taurama Aquatic Centre.The general public will be charged a gate fee of K2-K5 per person.last_img
